A People Team Task Grid, a simpler new hire portal, and onboarding you can run from Claude. A number of small improvements. Three big upgrades to see if onboarding is actually working, and to act on it fast.
This is a big release. We shipped across the whole product this month, but it all comes back to one thing I care about: helping you see whether onboarding is actually working, and act on it fast.
A bird's-eye view of all open tasks. The new People Team Task Grid puts every task across every active new hire in one view.
An improved new hire portal. A simpler schedule page and a cleaner home dashboard, shaped by new-hire feedback.
Manage Camino via Claude. Run and analyze onboarding in plain language, with your approval on every change.
A stack of admin upgrades. Close a journey, path icons and colors, redesigned template pages, a new IT Admin role, and more.
Coming soon. Free pilots with up to five new hires, and guided program setup.
Here's more detail on each.

A bird's-eye view of all open tasks
This is the one I'm most excited about.
People Team Task Grid. A spreadsheet-style view of every open task across all your active new hires at once. Hover any task to see its timeline, and send a reminder for a specific new hire right from the grid. No more clicking into journeys one by one to find what's slipping. Open it in the morning and you can triage the whole cohort before your coffee gets cold.

Reminders that basically write themselves. We rebuilt the reminder modal so you just pick a tone, Friendly, Direct, or Explain the impact, and the message is ready to go. A good nudge takes seconds now, instead of rewriting the same thing for the hundredth time.

A cleaner Journeys list. Simpler, and faster to scan. Once you click on a specific journey list that needs attention, you get to see all specific things that need attention, quickly. Less thinking, more guided quick actions.

An improved new hire pre-boarding portal
Your new hires asked for this, so we rebuilt it. The pre-boarding experience is easier to land in and move through, so people show up to day one already oriented.
Schedule page. A real calendar view (list, week, or month) with meeting details, video links, and calendar links, so new hires always know what's next and how to join.
Cleaner home dashboard. Open tasks, key people, and active onboarding all in one place. Less hunting, a clearer first day.

Run and analyze onboarding from Claude
We've put a lot of work into our Claude integration, and honestly it's the part I think is genuinely different. You can manage and analyze onboarding in plain language, without opening Camino at all.
New to MCP? It's a universal connector that lets an AI assistant (Claude) work directly with an outside tool / App. Because Camino supports it, Claude can read and act on your onboarding, securely.
See your whole program. Ask for a read on onboarding without hunting through views.
✨ "What's pending across onboarding this morning?" gets you pending journeys, unscheduled meetings, active issues, and open tasks by stakeholder, all in one answer.
Dig into any journey. Find and inspect anything by status, stage, person, or keyword.
✨ "Where is Marcus stuck, and who's behind on his tasks?" gets you his journey, his stage, and the overdue items grouped by owner.
Take action, with your approval. Claude can make changes too. Create or assign tasks, send reminders, schedule meetings, even activate a journey.
✨ "Remind everyone who's behind on Marcus's onboarding." drafts a Slack reminder you approve before it sends.
Every change previews first and waits for your yes. Nothing happens in Camino until you confirm, and Claude only ever sees what your own permissions allow.
Build Camino into your AI workflows. Because the connector is standard, you can wire Camino into whatever your team already runs in Claude, like a Monday review of who's slipping this week, saved as a Claude Project.

Admin upgrades
The smaller stuff that quietly makes the day smoother:
Close a journey. Mark onboarding done from the list or detail view, so your active list only shows what's actually in flight.
Path icons and colors. Quick visual selection across your paths.
Redesigned Emails, Tasks, Meetings, and Messages pages.
Choose if tasks should be notified by email or slack.
Set default task experience for assignees in Camino or the Slack Home Tab. Now all reminders will direct the assignee to your preferred task experience.
Delete pending journeys. Cleanly remove a cancelled new hire, and optionally their user account too.
New IT Admin role. Let IT manage integrations (connecting, disconnecting) without needing a People Team role.

Coming up
Two things we're genuinely excited about next:
Free pilot programs. Soon you'll be able to run a free pilot with up to five new hires. A low-risk way to put Camino through a real onboarding cycle before you commit.
Automated, guided program creation. We're making it much faster to stand up your onboarding. Camino will walk you through building an onboarding program with best practices baked in. We will help draft your paths, tasks, check-ins, and messages, so you go from a blank slate to a working program in a fraction of the time.
More soon. As always, reach out at support@joincamino.com and tell me what's working and what's missing. I read every one.
